Governance

Cox’s Demesne Youth & Community Project has an excellent voluntary management committee of very dedicated people, a super staff team with the interest of the young people always to the fore, young people who inspire & encourage every day and a supportive community.

CDYCP as an organisation is very strong. It has an excellent reputation in terms of governance and management. CDYCP is a not-for-profit company with charitable status. It is fully compliant with the new “Governance Code” for charities. Policies are drawn up and financial planning is key to the strength of our organisation. The financial procedures are excellent, and full audits are done on a yearly basis with returns going into the Company’s Office. The bulk of the funding comes from government departments so strict adherence to guidelines, service level agreements etc takes place. The Project has grown, developed, and diversified to meet changing needs over 30+ years, and this is due to the strong governance, management, and forward planning. Currently CDYCP is in the process of carrying out a 5-year strategic plan. This will be done in an open transparent manner with wide consultation.
