Summer Youth Project
The Redeemer Summer Youth Project caters for 250 children and young people from Cox’s Demesne and the surrounding areas and runs for four weeks in July each year.
The ethos of the project is to be both educational and fun.
Different age-groups participate each week. Activities are well structured and supervised.
They include sports, outdoor pursuits, swimming and day trips.
The Summer Project is co-ordinated by the Cox’s Demesne Youth & Community Project but would not be possible without the dedicated team of helpers which include all the youth workers of “The House”, women from the pilots education & training scheme and volunteers from the community.
Funding for the Summer Youth Project comes from registration fees, fundraising and donations, Redeemer parish and in some years Louth Leader Partnership and Co. Louth V.E.C.
